Job Overview:

We are seeking a Medical Physics Technologist to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing medical devices, including installation, maintenance, calibration, diagnosis, repair, modification, and upgrade of radiotherapy equipment.

You will provide direct technical support and advice to radiotherapy managers, key trainers, and users of the technology, ensuring the safety and reliability of medical devices. Additionally, you will communicate complex technical information to staff groups within the radiotherapy department and external equipment manufacturers, contractors, and other personnel.

Your duties will also include participating in risk analysis and risk management as part of medical device management, and supervising, mentoring, teaching, and training members of staff from within and outside of the group.

The successful candidate will have professional registration as a clinical technologist or healthcare scientist, and experience in medical equipment management, preferably in a radiotherapy setting. You will need to possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
