We are seeking a Clinical Radiotherapy Technologist to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, with an estimated salary of £50,000 - £65,000 per annum.

This role is open to clinical technologists, healthcare scientists, or healthcare science practitioners with professional registration. Unregistered technicians may be appointed to a lower grade until they gain relevant qualifications, experience, and registration.

Main Duties:
  • Radiation Oncology Support
    As a Clinical Radiotherapy Technologist, you will assist in the management of medical devices, ensuring they are properly installed, maintained, calibrated, diagnosed, repaired, modified, and upgraded. You will also provide direct technical support and advice to radiotherapy managers and users.
  • Clinical Research and Development
    You will contribute to formal clinical research and development activities, guaranteeing the safety and reliability of medical devices and addressing any discrepancies promptly.
  • Quality Management and Leadership
    This position involves supervising, mentoring, teaching, and training staff in radiotherapy technology. You will create and update procedures to maintain quality management systems and ensure trust policies and safe working practices are implemented.
