About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled IT Service Desk Analyst to join our team at Exertis (UK) Ltd. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our users, ensuring their computer hardware and software issues are resolved efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Windows and Office systems, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and customer service orientation. You will work closely with our IT department personnel to provide assistance on tasks that may be outside your knowledge or expertise.

In this role, you will balance creative and technical problem-solving, customer service, and collaboration to ensure that personnel throughout the organization can access and utilize the software and resources required to function effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Handle Incoming Help Requests: Respond to incoming queries, assess problems, and help resolve them face-to-face or remotely.
  2. Resolves IT Support Requests: Where possible, resolve user technical issues as they arrive, remotely accessing their computer and making changes to their system administration and settings.
  3. Escalates Advanced Cases: Escalate user support requests to higher-level IT support specialists and experts if unable to resolve the issue independently.
  4. Maintains Service Records: Maintain detailed records of user issues, providing data on recurring problems reported by multiple users.
  5. Performs System Testing and Updates: Perform system tests and updates after troubleshooting and necessary repairs, ensuring no adverse effects elsewhere in the system.

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of Windows and Office systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and customer service orientation.
  • Able to use sound judgement in terms of work planning and customer care.
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
