Job Description

**Job Title:** IT Help Desk Technician

**Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Help Desk Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our staff and site-based users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide timely and effective technical support to our staff and site-based users, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Help Desk Operations: Manage and respond to help desk tickets, prioritizing and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Hardware and Software Support: Configure and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, mobile phones, and other IT equipment.
  • Software Updates and Rollout: Assist with software updates and rollout, ensuring minimal disruption to our operations.
  • Asset Management: Manage IT equipment asset records, including ordering, processing, and disposing of equipment in accordance with company standards.
  • Ad-hoc IT Administration: Perform various IT administrative tasks, including ordering processes and other IT-related duties.
  • Site Support: Provide support visits to our sites as required by the IT Infrastructure & Services Manager or Head of IT.

Requirements:

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT hardware and operating software.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and ability to adhere to company procedures and deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and site-based users.
  • Professional Attitude: Professional attitude and strong work ethic, with a willingness to support events that require out-of-normal office hours working.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • CompTIA A+
  • Network+
  • Microsoft MTA

Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required for this role. Please note that this is a full-time, office-based position, so you must be located within a commutable distance.
