Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dispensary Assistant to join our team at Staunton and Corse Surgery. As a key member of our dispensary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our busy rural dispensary.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Serving patients and handling prescription fees and exemption declarations
  • Dealing with telephone calls from patients and ordering medications as required
  • Unpacking and checking off orders from our medical suppliers
  • Working safely and competently in accordance with legislative requirements and practice policy and procedures
  • Providing cover for annual leave and sickness

Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with:

  • A good level of education to GCSE standard or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Strong IT skills and ability to use Office and Outlook
  • Ability to work as a team member and autonomously
  • Good interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities
