We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Dispensary Assistant to join our team at Staunton and Corse Surgery. As a Dispensary Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our dispensary, ensuring that patients receive excellent care and service.
Main Responsibilities- Serving Patients: You will be responsible for serving patients in a professional and courteous manner, taking prescription fees, and ensuring completion of exemption declarations.
- Telephone Calls: You will handle telephone calls from patients in a clear and polite manner, providing accurate information and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Ordering Medications: You will order medications as required, ensuring that they are delivered to the dispensary in a timely manner.
- Unpacking and Checking Orders: You will unpack and check off orders from our medical suppliers, ensuring that all items are accurate and complete.
- Working Safely: You will work safely at all times, adhering to legislative requirements and practice policy and procedures.
- Covering Annual Leave and Sickness: You will provide cover for annual leave and sickness, ensuring that the dispensary continues to operate smoothly.
- Qualifications: You will have a good level of education to GCSE standard or equivalent. You will also have excellent communication skills (written and oral), strong IT skills, and a clear, polite telephone manner.
- Experience: You will have experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a dispensary or pharmacy environment.
- Skills: You will have strong problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work as a team member and autonomously.
