Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Dispensary Assistant to join our team at Staunton and Corse Surgery. As a key member of our dispensary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our busy rural dispensary.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Serving patients and handling prescription fees and exemption declarations
  • Dealing with telephone calls from patients and ordering medications as required
  • Unpacking and checking off orders from our medical suppliers
  • Working safely and competently in accordance with legislative requirements and practice policy and procedures
  • Providing cover for annual leave and sickness

Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with:

  • A good level of education to GCSE standard or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Strong IT skills and ability to use Office and Outlook
  • Ability to work as a team member and autonomously
  • Good interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities

Staunton and Corse Surgery is a family-friendly practice that prides itself on providing excellent patient care. We use the SystmOne Clinical System and dispense approximately 10,000 items per month. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, flexible, and has a professional approach to join our small, dedicated, and experienced team.
