Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Assistant Development Manager to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-profile projects and contribute to the growth and expansion of our Banks Property and Banks Homes businesses.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget management, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project strategies in collaboration with senior management and directors.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex projects, balancing commercial risk and planning success.
  • Coordinate and prepare commercial assessments, appraisals, and planning applications.
  • Negotiate planning conditions and section 106 agreements.
  • Manage project administration, including budgeting, procurement, and stakeholder liaison.

Requirements:

  • Minimum three years of experience in project management within the development industry.
  • Formal property-related qualification (MRICS or MRTPI preferred).
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills, including report writing.
  • Experience with legal and statutory requirements regarding land, planning, and Health and Safety.
  • Financial acumen and understanding of valuation principles, appraisals, and budget management.

Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include a competitive bonus scheme, pension plan, and access to training and development opportunities.
