About the Job:
This is a Safety Critical role that requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to handle high-pressure calls for emergency services. As a Customer Service Advisor for BT's emergency services team, you will be the first point of contact for individuals in their most critical time of need, handling calls for 999 services including Police, Ambulance, Fire Rescue, Coast Guard, and Mountain Rescue. With over 85 years of experience in handling 999 calls, BT has developed a trusted technology and process to ensure a reliable service.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Handling calls efficiently and effectively
- Directing callers to the most appropriate emergency services
- Demonstrating successful communication and active listening skills
- Working under pressure to make quick decisions
- Providing a caring and empathetic response to callers
