About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Community Team at Wiltshire Health and Care LLP. As a Specialist Community Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care to patients in their own homes, promoting health and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide highly skilled therapy care to patients in the community, promoting health and independence.
  • Work closely with General Practices, Social Services, and other statutory and non-statutory services to meet the needs of the local population.
  • Develop and implement high-quality, safe, and sustainable clinical and operational leadership.
  • Participate in the weekend therapy rota and cover planned and urgent occupational therapy and physiotherapy assessments and treatment.
  • Support the development of integrated community care and work as a strong team player.
Requirements
  • Up-to-date community experience and case management experience.
  • Significant experience of working with adults and working with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Leadership experience and teaching experience.
  • Knowledge of recruitment, selection, and appraisal systems, as well as setting and monitoring standards of care.
  • Experience within a wide range of patient and client care groups.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Profiling community needs and targeting identified health needs of the population.
  • Evidence of an innovative and flexible approach to care and the organization of care.
Essential Qualifications
  • Dip COT/BSc/BSc(Hons)/MSc OT.
  • Registered as an OT with the Health and Care Professionals Council.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification.
  • Teaching and assessing in clinical practice.
  • Current, valid driving license and competent driver.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Knowledge of legislation affecting professional practice.
  • Experience of applying research-based information to practice.
