We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our dynamic team as a Lecturer in Children's Nursing at the University of Cumbria. This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong background in nursing and teaching, who is committed to delivering high-quality education and supporting students in their academic and clinical practice experiences.
About the RoleThis 12-month secondment role offers a unique chance to work with our pre-registration nursing degree students, providing teaching and assessment, module coordination, and pastoral support. The successful candidate will be an advocate for excellence in Children's nursing, promoting nursing to prospective students and working closely with practice partners and potential employers.
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Delivering engaging and informative lectures and tutorials
- Coordinating modules and assessments
- Supporting students with their academic studies and clinical practice experiences
- Providing pastoral care and guidance
- Promoting nursing to prospective students
- Maintaining effective links with practice as a link lecturer (Academic Assessor)
We offer a competitive salary of £43,055 per annum, plus benefits such as 35 days' annual leave, 25 research and scholarly activity days, and opportunities for career development.
