About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Clinical Research Nurse to join our team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the delivery of clinical trials and other research studies across various clinical specialties, including cardiovascular, acute medicine, anaesthetics, and surgery.

The ideal candidate will have a strong motivation to work in the field of clinical research, with excellent organisational skills and ability to plan and coordinate multidisciplinary activities associated with the management of research studies.

The role requires the candidate to work closely with local clinicians, clinical research teams, and R&D Manager in developing and maintaining research infrastructure to support patient recruitment, education, and monitoring of trial patients.

The successful candidate will also be expected to provide research support and information for staff, patients, volunteers, and relatives as appropriate.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Assisting in the recruitment, education, and monitoring of trial patients and collecting accurate data.
  2. Working closely with local clinicians, clinical research teams, and R&D Manager to develop and maintain research infrastructure.
  3. Providing research support and information for staff, patients, volunteers, and relatives as appropriate.

The role is able to meet the requirements for registration with professional bodies for nurses, midwives, and allied health professionals.
