Caring Support Specialist

At Diverse Abilities, we are seeking a Caring Support Specialist to join our team at the Weymouth Outdoor Education Centre.
The successful candidate will support children and young people with emotional needs and disabilities, promoting positive outcomes and maintaining their physical and emotional safety and wellbeing.
This role requires staff to take responsibility for a child during sessions, working collaboratively with the team to ensure the care and oversight of others.
The estimated salary for this position is £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Childcare and Support: Assist children with eating, drinking, and maintaining nutritional needs. Support social and emotional needs through play and activities.
- Teamwork and Communication: Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the care and oversight of children. Discuss and report concerns with senior staff.
- Maintenance and Facilities: Maintain facilities in a healthy, safe, clean, and tidy state. Replace games and toys after each activity.
