About the Job
We are seeking a compassionate and trustworthy Companion Care Specialist to join our team at Home Instead. As a Companion Care Specialist, you will provide essential support to our clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes.
Responsibilities
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in activities and conversations that promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Assist with daily tasks, including meal preparation, medication management, and personal care.
- Support clients with social outings and activities, promoting social interaction and a sense of community.
- Provide care and support to clients with physical disabilities, adapting to their individual needs and requirements.
- Work collaboratively with other care professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, care plans, and progress.
Requirements
- Validated experience in caring for older adults or individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and their families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and flexible approach to care delivery.
- Valid driving license and access to a reliable vehicle, with the ability to travel to client locations as required.
- Willingness to commit to regular shifts, including evenings and weekends, with flexibility to adapt to changing client needs.
