About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Wagamama. As a key member of our kitchen management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our back of house operation, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the kitchen management team in achieving our culinary goals and objectives.
  • Manage inventory, labor, and rotas to optimize kitchen performance.
  • Develop and grow our junior chefs, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet Wagamama standards.
  • Ensure the quality of our food, maintaining high standards of presentation, taste, and safety.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to create an inclusive and respectful environment, where everyone feels valued and supported.
  • Lead by example, inspiring and motivating your team to deliver exceptional results.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing or supervising a kitchen team, with a strong track record of positive behaviors and actions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate your team.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, health, and hygiene standards.
  • Experience in managing labor and rotas, with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
