Job Overview

This role offers an exciting opportunity to embark on a planning career with Kent County Council. As a Strategic Planning Assistant, you will work closely with our teams to gain valuable experience and knowledge in the field of strategic planning.

About the Role
  • Assist in the co-ordination responses to Local Plans, Strategic Planning Applications, and other Consultations.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the Kent Minerals and Waste Local Plan and determining County Council Planning Applications.
  • Gather research, analysis, and evaluation for different planning tasks under supervision.

You will have the chance to develop your skills in providing professional planning advice and provide administrative and technical support to our teams.

Requirements
  • Hold 3 A Levels - BCC or equivalent Level 3 qualifications worth 106 UCAS points.
  • Have strong IT skills and show a commitment to continued professional and personal development.
  • Meet educational requirements outlined in the Job description.
