Our client is a reputable organisation that helps attract and retain investment and tourism opportunities in the region.

You will sit within the Account Management team and will be undertaking normal account management duties while also bringing additional capability to engage with large accounts and senior leaders across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be providing a knowledgeable, credible, and professional point of contact for stakeholders.
  • Building strong relationships at C-suite level within the private and public sectors.
  • Collaborating with public sector stakeholders to drive business growth.
  • Developing and delivering intelligence-led account management plans to drive business results.
  • Engaging with key industry associations and trade bodies to stay up-to-date on industry trends.
  • Working proactively and collaboratively with the Head of Business Development and Business Development colleagues to deliver a professional and strategically valuable service.
  • Promoting the benefits of the business development offer to companies in the West Midlands.
  • Representing the organisation professionally at events and actively working to raise the profile of the business and the region.
  • Working with senior leaders across the region and the company's senior leadership team to effectively operate business development for large accounts.
  • Taking a senior role in the Business Development team, working closely with the Head of Business Development in the delivery of some leadership and management aspects of delivery when needed.

Required Experience:

  • A clear and articulate communicator who can use their knowledge of the key industries represented in the West Midlands (e.g. automotive, advanced manufacturing, creative & digital, life sciences, low carbon, professional services) to create credibility at a C-suite level.
  • Corporate, director-level account management experience in a private sector organisation.
  • A strong understanding of the key forces impacting corporate strategy and the future challenges facing West Midlands and UK businesses.
  • Experience/understanding of regional and public sector challenges in the West Midlands.

This role will be based out of our client's offices in central Birmingham two times per week. This role offers a competitive salary and opportunities for career growth.
