We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Play Specialist to join our specialist service in Loughborough.
The service provides expert care and support for babies, children, and young people with complex needs across the East Midlands. Our care offerings include palliative care, end-of-life care, symptom management, emergency care, respite, and short breaks, available in our Hospice, at home, and in hospitals.
As a Registered Play Specialist, you will be part of our outreach services, working on-site and within the local community, providing therapeutic and generic play and leisure activities for our service users. You will create meaningful and enjoyable memories in a safe and caring environment.
You will ensure all children have access to play and plan appropriate activities. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing assistance, guidance, and leadership to the wider Play Team of 3.
You will support the team by overseeing all activities, promoting and maintaining good teamwork, and working alongside the Family Support Lead on any Employee Relation activities.
This is a hybrid role that includes on-site and community work. A driving license and access to a vehicle are therefore essential.
This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, with some weekend working for events, such as Family Fun Days and the annual Christmas party.
Person Specification:- (Essential) Fully Qualified Health Play Specialist & registered with HPSET

- (Essential) Ability to travel around the East Midlands and get to rural locations
