Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Planning and Control Specialist to join our team in Barrow-in-Furness. This role offers great visibility across the business and the chance to expand your skillset with such a broad scope of work.

About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a Planning, Monitoring & Control Professional – Planning role, where you will be responsible for performing non-complex project reporting and scheduling, ensuring monthly updates are accurate. You will also resolve basic and routine queries efficiently, developing an understanding of business processes and procedures.

  • You will support governance and assurance activities, focusing on the delivery plans and cost estimation for the Dreadnought and potentially the SSNA programme.
  • Execute process confirmation tasks, ensuring compliance with work instructions and maintaining high standards of project delivery.
  • Contribute to excellence in visual management, creating clear and effective reports and tools to aid team performance and stakeholder engagement.
Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary starting from £35,802, depending on skills and experience. We also offer a range of flexible working arrangements and hybrid options.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Experience with Planning or Cost performance within a Project environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of working with large amounts of data and numbers.
  • Excellent stakeholder management at a senior level.
Desirable Skills

While not essential, experience with project scheduling software e.g. Primavera P6, knowledge of SAP Hana, and experience using Cobra would be advantageous.
