Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Planning and Monitoring Specialist to join our team at JAM Recruitment Ltd. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to work on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £52.82 per hour, paid through PAYE Inside IR35. In addition to a comprehensive hourly rate, you will have access to hybrid working arrangements, allowing you to balance your work and personal life effectively.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for providing intermediate project reporting and scheduling services. Your administrative and general office skills, including proficiency in Microsoft packages such as Excel and PowerPoint, will be crucial in ensuring the success of the project.

You will work closely with junior members of the project team, sharing knowledge and expertise to ensure the project's objectives are met. Additionally, you will lead PM&C processes on small non-complex projects or work packages within larger projects, managing stakeholder involvement and communication.

Your duties will include:

  • Analysis and interpretation of schedule and risk data
  • Production of analytical presentations
  • Identification and assessment of risks to the project's success
  • Application of PM&C methods and tools, whether predictive or adaptive approaches
  • Agreement of PM&C approach with stakeholders, preparation of realistic plans, and tracking activities against the project schedule
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess comprehensive knowledge and understanding of PM&C policies, processes, procedures, and systems. Your experience in a professional capacity within a project environment is essential, as is your ability to build relationships and negotiate outcomes with internal stakeholders.

You should have good knowledge and understanding of:

  • The business environment for your project
  • The wider PM&C environment, including developments and practices in the field
  • Own project/s, its markets, customers, strategic priorities, and culture
Skills and Experience

This role requires proficiency in Microsoft toolsets, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. You should also have experience in scheduled data or risk analysis, as well as a good understanding of the structure, organisation, processes, and culture of Line of Business.

Able to apply problem-solving techniques to routine situations or those of moderate complexity under limited supervision, you will take responsibility for own performance and development, including any team members. Quality and timeliness of work will reflect on the effectiveness of the immediate team.
