About the Role

The Ministry of Defence is seeking a skilled Marine Technology Engineer to join our team as a Strategic Weapon Support Systems Engineer. This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of marine technology, overseeing engineering challenges that are unparalleled in the industry.

As a Strategic Weapon Support Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the Strategic Weapon Support System or the Launcher installation, ensuring seamless integration into platforms. You will use your technical knowledge to make informed decisions, considering performance, time, cost, risk, and safety factors.

This role requires a high level of technical expertise, with experience in several disciplines, including Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Electronic, and Marine Engineering. You will work closely with highly skilled professionals to support some of the largest and most complex engineering programmes in the world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assurance that systems are verified and validated against performance prior to handover to the Royal Navy.
  • Support discussions on system operation with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure correct integration of systems into platforms.
  • Manage engineering technical requirements.
  • Participate in identification, selection, evaluation, performance verification, and demonstrations within your technical area.
Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential criteria:

  • Hold a relevant Level 4 (HNC or higher) qualification or demonstrate equivalent experience.
  • Experience of providing technical advice and leading the delivery of successful engineering outcomes.
