Job Description:

In this role, you will be part of a team that supports all Weapon Systems UK products both in the UK and overseas. You will ensure all operational activities are carried out in line with relevant safety requirements, and provide Suitably Qualified Experienced Personnel (SQEP) input to electrical elements of Weapon Systems UK current & future portfolio.

As a Senior Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for ongoing electrical maintenance of reference equipment and completion of monthly maintenance checks, strip and survey reports. You will conduct electrical function checks and fault investigations, participate in offsite trial activities, work closely with the team during solution or future design development, and install and test prototypes.

You will organise and control any relevant production documentation and assist in the development of work sequences and work instructions. You will also be responsible for daily support of facility operations activities and defining and maintaining safe processes for operational activities, ensuring that all process activities adhere to current Risk Assessment and associated Safe Systems of Work.

Key Requirements:

  • HNC/HND Engineering qualification or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Able to carry out risk assessments, being aware of potential hazards in your area.
  • Able to use root cause analysis tools to problem solve.
  • Working experience of manufacturing or similar environment, utilising systems, tools and structure to influence outcomes around safety, quality, cost, delivery and people.
  • General engineering understanding across design, manufacturing and test processes, and demonstrate the importance of a 'safety first' culture.
  • Strong stakeholder management relation across the function and wider business.
