BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Commissioning Team Manager - Mechanical to lead our team of engineers in the Weapons Test Section. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing Mechanical RIP outs for this section, working closely with other departments to ensure safe control of work.

This role requires strong commissioning knowledge of Submarine Weapons Handling Systems, as well as a solid understanding of Installations and Final Installation processes for mechanical systems. You will be responsible for reviewing and authorising test documentation related to the Weapons Test Section, as well as deputising for Weapons Managers when needed.

You will also play a key role in reviewing and planning training for mechanical engineers in this section, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

Requirements:

  • Strong commissioning knowledge of Submarine Weapons Handling Systems
  • Solid understanding of Installations and Final Installation processes for mechanical systems
  • Experience of reviewing and authorising test documentation
  • Ability to deputise for Weapons Managers when needed
  • Knowledge of HP & LP Air and Hydraulic Systems
  • Experience of DSEAR (Dangerous Substance, ATEX-Explosive Regulation) and CHARN/ISO regulations and standards
