Job Title: Senior Planning, Monitoring & Controller – Planning

Salary: £40,748 per annum, dependent on skills and experience

Location: Barrow in Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced planning specialist to join our SSNA Project Controls Planning Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing tailored planning practices, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and interfacing with external partners to ensure good quality baseline and current plans are in place.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing appropriately tailored Planning practices
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure good quality baseline and current plans are in place and maintained with buy-in from key stakeholders
  • Interfacing and reporting of the whole programme status both internally and externally
  • Involvement in submarine design, build, test, and commissioning as well as AUKUS and BCCRP (BAE Systems Capacity Capability and Resilience Programme)
  • Interfacing with Rolls-Royce, Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA), Babcock, and the joint programme management office to ensure the goodness of the integrated schedules for the customer
  • Driving quality improvements into the design phase and build phase schedules
  • Coaching members of the team, monitoring their quality of work, and contributing to performance management

Requirements:

  • Experience using Primavera P6
  • Experience in planning in major projects
  • Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
