Radiation Safety and Quality Control Specialist

BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Radiation Safety and Quality Control Specialist to join our team in Barrow-in-Furness.
As a Radiation Safety and Quality Control Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the inspection team works within H&S guidelines and utilizes SAP and the request database to plan delivery of radiography requirements.
The successful candidate will have a salary expectation of £55,000 - £75,000 per annum and must possess PCN Level 2 in RT welds or RPS Qualification and industry-proven experience.
About the Team
The Radiography Department supports all aspects of Submarine Build across the Barrow site. Our team consists of a diversely experienced and knowledgeable group who work over various shifts to support production activities.
You will be working predominantly with 2 team leaders and 10 other inspectors in Days, including 3 apprentices. You will also cross over with 22 inspectors who cover all Open Shop Radiography on nights.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- PCN Level 2 in RT welds or RPS Qualification and industry-proven experience
- Thorough understanding of Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017 and The Environmental Permitting Regulations 2016
- UK Driving License
- Confident with Microsoft Excel and Word programs
