Job Overview


The Project Control team at BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Project Control Specialist Lead to join our Platform Complex Systems (PCS) team in Barrow-in-Furness.


About the Role


This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced project professional to lead our small team, delivering high-quality results with limited guidance from the Line Manager.


Key Responsibilities



  • Leading advanced project Earned Value & Reporting, using skills such as EVM analysis, interpretation, and reporting of EV data.
  • Undertaking advanced problem solving, typically based on previous experience.
  • Managing risks to the success of the project, identifying, assessing, and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Delivering high-quality results, working closely with senior management, CAMs, PMs, and Engineering staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • Excellent project control skills, including Earned Value Management and estimation compilations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of management and staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools.
