About the Role

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a skilled Activities Coordinator to join our team at Rosebank House, a specialist care home providing support for individuals with severe and enduring mental health conditions.

As an Activities Coordinator, you will play a vital role in creating a stimulating and engaging environment for our service users, promoting their social, recreational, and leisure activities. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and deliver programmes that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinating social and recreational activities for service users within a secure environment, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Obtaining information from service users regarding their social and recreational interests, preferences, and needs.
  • Observing and recording the behavior, abilities, and responses of service users, providing regular feedback to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Documenting observations and progress in service users' clinical notes, under supervision.
  • Fulfilling security requirements and adhering to service policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Conducting basic risk assessments for individuals and groups of service users.
  • Ensuring health and safety, welfare, and security standards are maintained for service users, staff, and visitors.
  • Effectively coordinating resources and activities to meet the needs of service users.
Requirements
  • Basic group work skills and experience working with vulnerable populations.
  • Minimum of 12 months experience in a mental health setting (desirable).
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work within a team-based framework.
  • Initiative, motivation, and a solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • Good organizational skills and awareness of mental health and its impact on functioning.
  • Awareness of gender-specific and cultural needs of service users.
  • Full UK driver's license.
