About the Role:

We are seeking a Night Hygiene Operative to join our team at Avara Foods, a leading food business in the UK. As a Night Hygiene Operative, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation in our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times
  • Follow food safety guidelines and regulations
  • Contribute to the achievement of individual and departmental targets
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of quality, safety, and productivity standards
  • Perform manual handling of plant and equipment
  • Isolate plant and machinery as required
  • Meet housekeeping and hygiene standards individually and as part of a team
  • Comply with food safety and HSE guidelines
  • Carry out instructions as given by Team Leader/Management

Requirements:

  • Good level of English and basic numeracy skills
  • Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
  • Good attention to detail and flexible attitude to tasks
  • Experience in a production/manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided

About Avara Foods:

Avara Foods is a leading food business in the UK, supplying chicken and turkey to major supermarkets and well-known restaurants. We own and manage our entire supply chain, from farms to factory and all the way to the customer door. Our Hereford site is one of our largest processing facilities, employing approximately 1,500 people and processing 1.9 million birds per week.
