Night Hygiene Operations Supervisor

Work Schedule:
43 hours per week
Sunday to Thursday (Sunday and Monday to Thursday 22:00-07:00)
Role Responsibilities:
As a Process Supervisor, you will operate in a fast-paced, dynamic FMCG manufacturing environment, which may be noisy and include refrigerated areas, producing short shelf-life products where hygiene is paramount.
- Assess hygiene staffing requirements and manage workplace schedules.
- Record all necessary information in the TMS system in the absence of the Hygiene Manager.
- Conduct deep cleaning of production and hygiene equipment as per the established cleaning protocols.
- Collaborate with Department Managers regarding production schedules and hygiene resources to ensure compliance with cleaning timelines.
- Ensure adherence to Avara hygiene standards through effective training and monitoring of hygiene staff.
- Implement company policies and procedures within the hygiene department.
- Review swab results and address any recurring issues with corrective actions.
- Coordinate with the Engineering department to ensure timely repairs and post-engineering cleaning standards are met.
- Facilitate effective shift handovers, documenting issues in the hygiene shift report.
- Ensure proper chemical usage and conduct titration checks.
- Manage the availability of hygiene equipment to meet operational demands.
- Provide coverage for the Hygiene Manager during absences.
- Oversee hygiene audits and ensure feedback is implemented for continuous improvement.
Qualifications for Success:
Essential:
- Previous experience as a Hygiene Operative.
- Familiarity with FMCG environments.
- Supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of BRCGS standards.
Desirable:
- Basic understanding of food microbiology.
- Experience in the poultry processing sector.
- Awareness of Health & Safety regulations.
- Knowledge of COSHH guidelines.
