About the Role

Splunk is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our UK Public Sector Defence team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key enterprise and mid-market accounts in the Aerospace and Defence manufacturing space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage your own business portfolio, shaping the strategy for the Aerospace and Defence sector, long-term account planning, driving complex account mapping, and diligently managing sales opportunities and stakeholders.
  • Leverage industry-leading sales engineering resources to drive sales growth.
  • Blend the Splunk sales methodology with your own sales acumen to deliver exceptional results.
  • Work with international and domestic colleagues and customers to maximise value realised by both your customer and your team.
  • Collaborate with a high-performance team to deliver beyond expectations and ensure the efficient employment of critical resources.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in building, managing, and delivering successful sales results in the SaaS sector, facing the Aerospace/Manufacturing sector.
  • Unquestionable credibility in the Aerospace & Defence sector, able to understand customer difficulties and apply the Splunk value stack to solve problems.
  • Extensive Strategic Account Management experience, comfortable working with large, matrix organisations with operations around the globe.
  • Ability to self-start programmes that increase sales pipeline, which has the potential to scale up within large A&D companies, through various business channels.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience of closing sophisticated, multi-million dollar software licence deals through multithreaded networking and negotiation.
  • Able to work independently and remotely, while being comfortable collaborating with other team members and corporate colleagues.
  • Prepared to travel to visit customers, work with your sales team, attend industry events, and join company forums.
