This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and innovative environment, where you will have a direct impact on improving the mental health and well-being of young people and their families.

About the Role

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will provide specialist psychological assessment, therapy, and intervention to young people who are struggling with eating disorders. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to care plans, offering psychological expertise, and ensuring that evidence-based approaches are followed to promote recovery and enhance the quality of life for the individuals under your care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for children and adolescents with eating disorders, identifying the root causes and developing effective treatment plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions (e.g., CBT-E, Family-Based Therapy) to young people and their families, helping them manage their eating disorders and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the development and implementation of care plans that prioritize the needs of each individual.
  • Provide consultation, training, and supervision to junior staff and multidisciplinary colleagues, promoting best practice and continuous improvement.
  • Engage in regular clinical supervision and continued professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest research and methodologies.
  • Maintain the highest standards of care and ethical practice, ensuring that all interventions are grounded in evidence and respectful of individual differences.
About You
  • A Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent) and HCPC registration are essential qualifications for this role.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents, particularly in CAMHS settings, is highly valued, as is a proven track record of delivering effective therapeutic interventions.

The estimated salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. If you are passionate about improving the mental health and well-being of young people, we encourage you to apply.
