Head Bartender at The Standard London

We are seeking a highly skilled and charismatic Head Bartender to lead our ground floor bars and embody our 'Anything but Standard' ethos.

About the Role

As a Head Bartender at The Standard London, you will be responsible for leading an exceptional bar team that provides an extensive drinks service across our ground floor bars, restaurants, and terraces. You will primarily be based in our Double Standard bar and garden, which serves classic and signature cocktails, wines, beers, and seasonal specials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a high-performing bar team to deliver exceptional customer service and drinks quality
  • Develop and implement innovative cocktail menus and promotions to drive sales and customer engagement
  • Manage bar operations, including inventory, ordering, and stock control
  • Collaborate with the food and beverage team to create seamless dining and drinking experiences
  • Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, adhering to company policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Head Bartender or Senior Cocktail Bartender in a similar 'Lifestyle' boutique hotel, destination cocktail bar, or busy city bar
  • Confident mixology skills, with a strong understanding of spirits, classic and contemporary cocktails, and the latest trends in the London bar scene
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and connect with a wide range of guests
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and late nights
  • Relevant qualifications, such as WSET, are advantageous but not essential
