Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Assist with various tasks and activities, such as reading, writing, and playing games with patients.
  • Help to maintain a clean and comfortable environment for patients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare staff, facilitating communication and ensuring patients' concerns are addressed.

Person Specification

  • Previous experience of working with vulnerable adults or children, or a willingness to learn and develop this skill.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of patients and the Trust.
