Integrated Transport Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Integrated Transport Manager to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED. As a key member of our Highways Service, you will play a crucial role in delivering our transportation strategy and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of people and goods across our network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement transportation policies and strategies to improve the efficiency and safety of our highway network.
  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of transportation projects, including traffic calming, accessibility, and road safety schemes.
  • Investigate requests for new highway infrastructure, such as traffic signs and road markings, and assess the impact of traffic on the network using data-led approaches.
  • Work closely with senior officers, elected members, and other council teams to ensure that transportation management and improvement support council priorities and policy documents.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including local communities, businesses, and other organizations, to ensure that transportation needs are met and that the network is used efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally with a traffic engineering/management background.
  • Significant in-depth knowledge of highway and traffic legislation and regulations, including the Highways Act, Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions, and the Traffic Management Act.
  • Ability to analyze statistical data, write policy and strategy documents, and complete tasks in a complex environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-focused approach.
