Lecturer in Public Services at a Leading Further Education College in Northamptonshire

Role Overview

Contribute to the education and development of students pursuing careers in public services by delivering high-quality instruction, providing student support, and shaping curriculum content to meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach engaging classes to both full-time and part-time students
  • Serve as a course tutor, tracking student progress and offering personalized guidance to help each student achieve their potential
  • Collaborate in the development and refinement of course materials, ensuring alignment with current industry requirements and college objectives
  • Participate in college recruitment activities, career fairs, and other events to attract prospective students
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment, upholding college safeguarding, health, and safety standards

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience and qualifications: Background in the Public Services sector, minimum level 3 or similar professional qualification in the area
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage students and a commitment to inclusive education practices
  • Attributes: Flexible, collaborative, and aligned with the college's core values, with an understanding of safeguarding and diversity
