This is a unique opportunity to become an integral part of the University of Bristol Press digital sales team. As a renowned international publisher of social science books and journals, BUP has experienced impressive sales growth since its inception in 2016 and was awarded the prestigious Independent Professional and Academic Publisher of the Year.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, confident Sales and Customer Services Coordinator to provide sales and customer support to the Books and Journals Division. The role will assist in delivering institutional sales campaigns and market research. This position reports directly into the Institutional Key Account Manager.

Bristol University Press launched its eBook and Journal platform Bristol University Press Digital (BUPD) in January 2022. BUPD has been instrumental in driving digital sales growth, and this role will play a crucial part in increasing our sales outreach and maintaining our high level of customer service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling day-to-day sales-related enquiries from institutions, libraries, sales representatives, agents and authors. The role also offers opportunities to contribute creative ideas to build sales and marketing campaign plans and develop the BUP brand across international institutions.

A strong organisational skill set, independence, and initiative will be required to meet tight deadlines, with accuracy and attention to detail being crucial. Experience of working in a customer service or sales administrative role in a busy office environment is essential, and prior knowledge of publishing processes for books or journals is highly desirable.
