About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced paediatric advanced clinical practitioner to join our Primary Care Network. You will support our local GP Practices with the provision of additional patient access on Saturdays and weekday evenings, working from a rotating site across our 7 GP Practices.

Main Duties
  • You will support core general practice capacity and work as part of a positive, proactive and collaborative primary care clinical team supporting children aged 0-17 years in Surrey Heath.
  • You will be experienced in general practice and be able to work autonomously, managing a caseload of booked appointments for on-the-day and urgent care needs, with minimal indirect supervision from the onsite GP under a Primary Care Consultant model.
  • You will need to be skilled in providing urgent care and minor illness management and providing support to children with long term conditions.

We are Surrey Heath Community Providers Limited, which is a federation of 7 GP practices across 10 sites, covering a population of over 97,000 patients across Surrey Heath. Since 2019 we have hosted the Primary Care Network in Surrey Heath.

Person Specification
  • Essential qualifications include Maths and English GCSE's (C and above) or equivalent, First level professional registration with appropriate professional body, and relevant health-related degree.
  • Desirable qualifications include Community or Primary Care specialist qualification, Clinical supervision training and experience, and Local and national health policy.
Skills
  • Essential skills include Advanced clinical practice skills, management of children with long-term conditions, urgent and on-the-day needs, and management of children with complex needs.
  • Desirable skills include Supervisor / facilitator for clinical supervision, Competent with spirometry performance and interpretation, and Recent paediatric primary or community experience.
