**ABOUT THE ROLE**
As a Head of Housekeeping at a Barchester care home, you’ll help to create the warm and homely surroundings that are so important to delivering quality care and support. Leading a team of housekeeping staff, you’ll ensure that every room and living space is maintained to the highest standards. The Head of Housekeeping role demands excellent attention to detail, but we’ll also rely on you to motivate everyone in your team to be at their best. Put simply, you’ll help to make your care home a shining example of a high quality care environment.
**ABOUT YOU**
Experience of housekeeping in a care home, hospital or hotel environment will be very advantageous for the role of Head of Housekeeping. We’ll also look for a proven ability to lead and inspire a team. A caring nature and good communication skills are important as you’ll often come into contact with other members of staff, residents and their relatives.
**Requirements for this role**:
- Experience in leadership and managing a team.
- managing housekeeping & laundry departments.
- Planning Rotas are 4 weeks in advanced (ensuring leave and sickness is covered)
- Recruit, train and develop your new staff members.
- Certification in - Level 2 health and safety/ level 2 Food and Hygiene/Infection control
- COSHH Trained (control of substances)
- Budgeting and stock level control.
