**Job Title:** Welding Training Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our technical team as a Welding Training Manager. This role is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of training programs, as well as helping to develop the facilities and framework for the training centre.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing necessary skills of new and current welding members of staff
  • Identifying and assessing training needs for the welding team
  • Implementing various training methods to enhance employees' skills and performance
  • Creating and delivering training sessions and lectures to trainees both practical and theory-based
  • Monitoring training program effectiveness
  • Managing budgets

The ideal candidate will have 10 years' experience as a welder fabricator, with experience as a trainer running a training school/centre. They will also be proficient in the use of hand tools and sheet metal fabrication, and competent in welding processes MIG, MAG, TIG and MMA to ISO 9606-1 and ISO 9606-2. Rail experience and knowledge of BE EN 15085 would be an advantage.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the rail industry. The salary for this position is approximately £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
