Job Description: Educational Support Worker

We are looking for an experienced and caring Educational Support Worker to join our team at Academics Ltd.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Psychology, Criminology or Sociology, and be passionate about supporting individuals with special educational needs.

As an Educational Support Worker, you will play a key role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for our students. You will work closely with our teaching staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to gain practical experience in the mental health sector and make a positive impact on the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with autism, learning difficulties, speech and language needs, and mental health challenges
  • Assisting with classroom activities and providing individualized support to students
  • Helping students understand their emotional needs and develop coping strategies
  • Managing challenging behavior and providing pastoral support to students
  • Collaborating with teaching staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, or related field
  • Previous experience working with children or adults with additional needs (personal or professional)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary: £85 per day
