About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Support Professional with a background in deaf studies to provide tailored support for students with sensory impairments. This includes breaking down complex assignments and English concepts into manageable tasks, developing research and composition strategies, and working on presentation structure and organization.

The successful candidate will use appropriate communication strategies to enable access and understanding of carrier language, taking into account the student's method of communication, educational history, and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans for students with sensory impairments
  • Break down complex assignments and English concepts into manageable tasks
  • Work with students to develop research and composition strategies
