Job Summary:

This role involves supporting the daily living needs of individuals living with dual sensory impairment, allowing them to maintain their independence and quality of life. As an Intervenor, you will work closely with our clients to facilitate their participation in daily activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting clients in their home and community environments to promote independent living.
  • Empowering clients to participate and succeed in daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Providing personal care as required, such as lifts and transfers, toileting, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
  • Assisting clients in developing and achieving individual goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health conditions.
  • Communication skills in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE).
  • A valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, a clean current driver's abstract, and the ability to obtain automobile insurance with a minimum liability of $2 million.
