About the Role

Moonbug Entertainment is seeking an experienced Director of YouTube Content Strategy to lead the development and execution of our content strategy across all self-serve platforms, including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and other video and music distribution platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in team management and development, with experience in content strategy and platform relationship management on YouTube. A deep understanding of the YouTube platform and its features, including YouTube Content ID and paid advertising, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy for all self-serve platforms, aligned with business objectives and growth targets.
  • Collaborate with the Moonbug Studio and Production teams to identify optimal editorial approaches and content opportunities across all self-serve platforms.
  • Manage and develop a team of content strategists and analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure successful execution of content plans.
  • Work closely with the Platforms & Music function to maximize achievement across all areas of the business, including commercial distribution, content, programming, and operations.
  • Own the understanding of and reporting against the self-serve distribution business model and market, worldwide.
  • Interrogate data to deliver actionable insights and strategies for growth, and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with self-serve platform market developments to refresh business activity with the latest thinking.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in team management and development in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in content strategy and platform relationship management on YouTube, with a deep understanding of the YouTube platform and its features.
  • YouTube Certified, with knowledge of YouTube Content ID and paid advertising.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for building revenue forecasts and budgets for new and existing content series.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and additional languages is a plus.
