Wildlife Conservation and Water Management

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to help us achieve our vision of a county rich in wildlife.

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing our strategic goals, including:

  1. Nature in Recovery: Achieving 30% of land for nature by 2030 through effective grant support and community engagement
  2. Action for Nature: Inspiring one in four people to take action for nature by 2030, driving community growth and sustainability
  3. Sustaining Our Future: Fostering innovation and sustainable practices to reach carbon zero by 2030

You will join a dedicated team providing advisory visits and support to farmers and land managers interested in benefiting from our grant support for wildlife, cleaner water, wetlands, and nature's recovery.

Your Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will require good ecological skills, especially for wetland and farmland species and habitats, as well as excellent communication skills to engage and motivate stakeholders.

You should have experience in managing contractors and possess strong strategic planning skills to respond to local and national water-focused consultations.

We work with organisations and landowners to achieve our mission and inspire local communities and young people to care for wildlife.

Salary and Benefits

This is a competitive full-time position on a fixed-term contract for three years (with potential extension), offering a salary range of £25,000-£27,000 per annum and regular travel opportunities within Worcestershire and beyond.
