We are seeking a passionate professional to lead our efforts in delivering wildlife, wetlands, and water conservation.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will play a crucial role in achieving our strategic goals, focusing on:
- Nature in Recovery: Implementing strategies to achieve 30% of land for nature by 2030, leveraging grant support and stakeholder engagement
- Action for Nature: Encouraging one in four people to take action for nature by 2030, promoting community involvement and sustainability
- Sustaining Our Future: Fostering innovation and best practices to reach carbon zero by 2030
You will join a dynamic team delivering advisory services and support to farmers and land managers interested in benefiting from our grant programs for wildlife, cleaner water, wetlands, and nature's recovery.
Your Skills and ExperienceTo excel in this role, you will need strong ecological knowledge, particularly in wetland and farmland species and habitats, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate stakeholders.
You should have experience managing contractors and possess strategic planning skills to respond to local and national water-focused consultations.

Terms and ConditionsThis is a full-time position on a fixed-term contract for three years (with potential extension) at a competitive salary range of £25,000-£27,000 per annum.
Regular travel within Worcestershire and occasionally further afield is required.
