About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated learning companion to join our team of support staff. As a key member of our school support team, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a 1:1 capacity.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide tailored support to students with SEN needs, focusing on their specific learning requirements and goals.
- Collaborate with other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support system for students.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with teachers and other support staff.
Requirements:
- Nationally recognized Level 2/3 Support Teaching or Learning qualification.
- Previous experience working with children in a 1:1 capacity, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong empathy and understanding of individual student needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and parents.
