Job Title: Senior Physiotherapist - Acute Medicine Specialist

This exciting opportunity allows you to develop your skills and expertise in acute medicine, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

You will have the autonomy to manage your own caseload, with regular supervision and peer review to ensure your continued professional development.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To provide expert physiotherapy services to patients on the rotations of Acute Medicine, Acute Respiratory, and Health Care of the Older Person teams.
  • Supervise junior physiotherapists, therapy assistants, and physiotherapy students to a graduate level, liaising with universities as required.
  • Contribute to evidence-based audit and research projects to enhance clinical practice and patient outcomes.
  • Participate in a respiratory 7-day service and be an active member of the evening respiratory on-call rota.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:
  • Degree in Physiotherapy (Essential)
  • Evidence of maintained CPD in a portfolio including attendance at relevant postgraduate courses (Essential)
  • Registration as a Physiotherapist with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) (Essential)
Experience:
  • 18 months experience and good theoretical and working knowledge of a broad range of conditions within the acute setting for band 6 role (Essential)
  • Student or assistant supervision, contributing to education (Essential)
  • Experience of working as part of a team/MDT (Essential)

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is estimated to be between £30,401 and £43,041 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
