About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Matron to lead our Clinical Site Team and oversee the operational management of patient flow. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring capacity and demand are met for both elective and non-elective admissions, as well as overseeing key performance indicators including ED performance, delivery of NHS targets, and national initiatives affecting patient flow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational management of patient flow, ensuring capacity and demand are met for both elective and non-elective admissions
  • Oversight of key performance indicators, including ED performance, delivery of NHS targets, and national initiatives affecting patient flow
  • Leadership of the Clinical Site Team, including accountability for budgets, development and implementation of policies relating to patient flow and Emergency Care targets
  • Monitoring, validation, and escalation of ED performance data
  • Development and implementation of emergency care pathways across the site, engaging key stakeholders to implement successfully to meet Trust and National performance targets and Trust capacity plan
