Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Matron to lead our Patient Flow and Emergency Department teams. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of patients through our emergency department and across the hospital.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in emergency care and patient flow, with experience in managing complex and dynamic environments. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve patient flow, reducing waiting times and improving patient outcomes.

You will work closely with our clinical and operational teams to ensure that our emergency department is running efficiently and effectively, and that our patients receive the highest level of care. You will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators, including patient flow, waiting times and emergency department performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient flow and reduce waiting times
  • Manage and lead the Patient Flow and Emergency Department teams
  • Work closely with clinical and operational teams to ensure efficient and effective emergency department operations
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including patient flow, waiting times and emergency department performance
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient flow and emergency department operations
Requirements
