Learning and Development Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Learning and Development Specialist to join our team at Whistl. As a key member of our learning and development team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering transformative learning experiences that unleash the full potential of individuals and organizations.

The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of adult learning and best practice in assessing learning needs, design and delivery of blended learning solutions, and training evaluation. You will be able to deliver training in an engaging manner to motivate and achieve high levels of engagement with a diverse group of trainees.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and delivering learning and development solutions that employ an appropriate blend of on-the-job learning, social learning, and formal learning activities.
  • Working closely with the L&D manager and business partners to support the design and continuous development of core and functional competency frameworks.
  • Liaising with managers to assess collective and individual training needs.
  • Providing one-to-one coaching and mentoring support for managers and staff as required.
  • Liaising with other internal and external training providers to manage arrangements for training delivery.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling and coordinating arrangements for core learning and development activities.
  • Recording staff training attendance and keeping training records and files up to date.
